Welcome To WaxWing Culture
WaxWing Culture is a narrative lens for interpreting humanity’s collective experience of life and death comedically and critically.
Rooted in the Greek myth of Icarus—A master craftsman, Daedalus, and his son, Icarus, are banished by the king on claims of treason. Daedalus expertly creates two pairs of wax wings that facilitate a glorious escape. Father warns child to always avoid flying close to the sun. Icarus soars into the skies. He flies far too close. His wings melt, and he falls to a sparkling death—WaxWing Culture interprets failure as divine and spectacular, while it sees success as mastering the escape from exile.
